The first time I recall being to Calais is when we visited Kent Corners with Chuck n Sue in search of Kent Corner covered bridge. Since then we did a recon mission and discovered Maple Corners and Curtis Pond. On 6/13/21 we finally paddled Curtis Pond and visited the Town Beach. On this day I noticed a lot of older women paddling kayaks. Everyone that we encountered was very kind. I saw inviting smiles and felt kind gentle spirits in everyone. Perhaps this is a product of the pandemic?
