We drove past Lake Fairlee and up Bloodbrook Rd to the get to the town center.
In the town center there is a historic marker for Nathanial Niles, a Revolutionary War “patriot” who founded the town after the war and was active in Vermont politics. He is buried in the cemetery in the town center. The Congregational Church, built in 1855, is on the registry of historic places.
