Perfect fall weather to make a run through Dover, Wardsboro, Jamaica, Stratton and Winhall. Colors aren’t peaking yet, but plenty to ooh and ahh over. And traffic wasn’t bad for Leaf Season.

The surprise gem of this route was the lookout at Chimney Hill, just off Haystack Rd a bit north of RT 9.  It’s a tiny bit of land, half of it protruding ledge, with houses close on either side and a spectacular view south across Harriman Reservoir in Wilmington. Breathtaking.
