A beautiful early Fall day to explore close to home. We zig-zagged up the county, revisiting favorite spots Shaftsbury State Park, Arlington Green with its covered bridge, church, historical society and lovely views, and Manchester for lunch and some walking around near the Courthouse and the Equinox Inn. Took backroads from Arlington to first Sandgate then Rupert, and they were BACK roads! Gravel, narrow, twisty, and just starting to show the first reds and oranges of Fall. Dorset was beautiful and we passed thru too quickly; we’ll have to go back and explore more soon.
