Entered Fairfield from Fletcher and drove to intersection Mill St and Rt 36.  Our destination was Chester A Arthurs birthplace to continued north on New Street and turned onto Dodd Road.   At some point along Dodd Road we had to stop and get out to enjoy the incredible view west.  Maybe the best view of any we have seen so far.  Continued to Arthur’s birthplace.  Found that it is only open July thru October.  We then made our way to Mother Hubbards (in St Albans) to pick up some lunch.  Headed to friends camp on the west side of Fairfield pond for a great lunch with any even greater setting overlooking the pond.  Storm clouds rolled in as we headed home thru Fairfax.
