- Home to the Long Trail School (Grades 6 – 12), Klara has been attending it since April 2024
- Home to the Emerald Lake State Park – years ago I stopped here to meet a friend who was camping here – I must get back to it and hike or swim here
- Home to the Dorset Playhouse
- Home to the Dorset Marble Quarry Swimming Hole – still have to jump in here – it will happen this summer (2025)
- Home to the Dorset Bakery – cute spot to hang out and eat some delicious food
- Home to the Cutler Memorial Forest and Pinacle Town Forest – nice to short forest walks
- Home to the Dorset Union Store – get delicious Creme Brulee here or a sandwich to go or a cookie maybe
- Home to the Bill Wilson House – Bill Wilson, co-founder of Alcoholic Anonymous
- Home of the Dorset Marble Quarry – the largest underground marble quarry in the world (I think)
- The H.N. Williams Store is a great Vermont General Store that is worth a stop for daily staples, absolutely delicious coffee, or even for animal feed
