- Enjoyed a wet and foggy hike at the Merck Forest & Farmland Center
- The Merck Forest has a wealth of hiking trail and cabins for rent throughout the year – it’ll be my next ‘get-away’ destination, it has a lovely visitor center/shop as well
- Rupert is quite rurual with many dairy farms
- Northern part of Rupert opens up into the Mettawee Valley, a region dominated by agriculture
