Since we live right next door to Richmond, we’ve been there countless times. So, to make an official 251 Club visit we decided to attend an event in Richmond. We choose to go to a presentation at the library put on by Chip Darmstadt of North Branch Nature Center about the birding trip he led to Japan.  The event was held on a very cold and snowy day, the 9th of January.  It was in the upstairs community center room of the town library.  It was a very interesting and pleasant event with a lot of folks in attendance, despite the bad weather and bad roads.  This was our 2nd official town visit.
