Dummerston is a another town in the Connecticut River Valley. I 91 and Rt 5 run paralell with the Connecticut River in a north-south direction. Rt 30 runs diagonal through the town in a northwest-northeast  direction.

We have driven through this town while on our way to camping at Townshend State Park. Schoolhouse Rd and East-west rds. connect Rt 5 to Rt 30. It is a nice winding mountain road that leads to West Dummerston Covered Bridge on the RT 30 side

9/30/2017 We visited the West Dummerston Covered Bridge with Chuck and Sue. It is the largest covered bridge entirely within the state at 280 feet. It spans the West River and is a popular place to swim.

8/6/2023 Revisited the West Dummerston Covered Bridge. First time visiting this town since joining the 251 Club. On the bucket list is to take Amtrak and ride our bikes to Fort Dummer State Park to camp.
