Cavendish is aquare in shape but has a slice taken out of the southeast corner. Rt 131 runs east and west through it and connects with Rt. 103 that runs north and south.

7/21/2023. We stopped at Stoughton’s General Store on Main St and bought some bacon for camping. A state wide flood had effected Cavendish harshly. The store had kegs washed up in the woods out back and liquir bottles on the floor. There were no public restrooms so we had to pee out back with the kegs. It was tense moment as Ann had to go for a long time. We tried going up Rt 131 and avoided a couple of road blocks to see the devastation. Eventually we were turned around by a State worker.
