Rt. 12 runs north n south through the easterly side of Northfield. At the southeasterly end, Rt 64 which runs east n west, intersect with Rt. 12. Rt 64 climbs the spine of the Green Mountains and connects Williamstown and Northfield. Rt. 12A shoots off of Rt. 12 in close proximity to 64 and travels through Roxbury n Braintree.
Northfield is known for its numerous covered bridges and Norwich Military Accademy. We visited this town with Chuck n Sue on our covered bridge tour 7-30-2017. We stopped at the Falls General Store as well.

Traveled Rt. 12 to pick off some towns and to camp at Coolidge State Park. A Labor Day weekend celebration was happening. We stopped in on Monday as things were winding down. We did witness their duck race from a bridge going over the Dog River. It is where Ann exclaimed to a worker below to” flip the dick”. wait, what? This weekend celebration took place in their park and looked to be a good time.
7-23-2023. We Became hungry coming back the long way from camping at Mount Ascutney. We wanted a place that was dog friendly. We came upon Good Measure Pub and Brewery. Ann n I both had a duck burger which was very good. From there we went around the corner on Main St. and had a cremee and shake at The Common Cone.
