After spending the night at Chuck n Sue’s, we decided to head home via Danby. Our drive started on Rt 133 north in Pawlet. In a couple of miles we  peeled off  to the right and took the Pawlet – Danby Rd. At a T, we took a right onto Brook Rd. In front of our faces we could see the beautiful mountain range of the Green Mountain National Forrest. The road ascends and descends through a mountain forrest which eventually drops you into the town of Danby. We were surprised to find a town sign and a nice Veterans Memorial. A historic marker highlighting Pearl Buck’s life was very fascinating. We took several pictures of the town and drove back and forth on Main St to explore. We eventually came out on Rt 7, where we spotted another Danby town sign.
