Rts. 2 and 100 intersect and merge in Waterbury. It is a popular place for tourists because of Ben n Jerry’s, Cold Hollow Cider Mill, Cabot Cheese Factory Outlet and the Waterbury Reservoir State Park , which are all on Rt 100. In the remodeled historic district are several fine restaurants such as Prohibition Pig ( 4/10/22 ) and the Reservoir, which we have been to. The train station has been remodeled and houses an Amtrak terminal. On the outskirts of town is Little River State Park. We have camped there several times as a photo intern for the VT, State Parks. It has very interesting trail system that highlights the life of a small Irish community trying to eek out a living.
