Finally found Lewis Pond and paddled around it. Met Don and Dianne Stevens. Dianne is a PT and worked for Home Health and is a photographer. Don is the Nulhegan / Abnacki chief. Don and Dianne were a pleasure to talk to. Don is very knowledgeable on a variety of topics. We learned that he is very influential with state government. We followed them to Lewis Pond Overlook and continued getting to know each other. The overlook is awesome! We followed Don n Dianne out. Don and I cleared a tree that was down in the road while the girls chatted some more. Went a little farther and found the road gated only a mile from Rt 105. Had to back track. Didn’t get out until 8 pm. Hope to meet them again
