- The largest and most diverse and happening town. A lot of festivals at the various parks throughout the summer months. Ann, David and I took part in the Festival of Fools (whatever that is?). We have enjoyed the bike path and lake front park numerous time and in numerous ways. I have seen several concerts at the Auditorium including Dam Yankees, and Eddie Money. A lot of nice restaurants and shops on Church Street. Burlington has a nice fireworks display that we have seen in many ways. We have been on several dining and sunset tours on The Spirit of Ethan Allen. On 4/27/22, we ate at August First while on our 11th anniversary 251 Club / Campton NH. trip

After visiting Mom at Elderwood with Tucker, we took off to find a bite to eat. We came across the Butter Bar off of North Avenue. We were excited that they had outdoor seating and that they were pet friendly. We ordered delicious lobster rolls n fries. We deposited our 251 rock in one of their planters before leaving.
#2 July 19,2025. Ann n I were invited by Patty Ede to join her and Chandler on a cancer cruise with her sister and Sherry Carlson. We had a picnic on the boat and took in the Good fellowship of friends. Turns out the Captain and his wife are good friends with our Captain Jeff Tirrey from Ann’s retirement cruise in 2024.
#2 11/29-30/2025 Ann surprised me for my 60th birthday and fulfilled a long time dream of spending the night at a hotel overlooking the lake and watching the sunset and a whole lot more. ; ). We started our late morning by eating at Henry’s Diner for the first time. Met a nice couple for humorous conversation. From there we walked the Church St. area and checked out some of the local shops. We had coffee at Black Cap and walked some more. We checked out the Outdoor Exchange and did some dream building. After a couples message is Winooski, we returned to our room where we caught the tail end of the sunset before going to dinner in the hotel restaruant. In the morning we did our divotions in front of the window and had breakfast in the retaruant again. We walked back up to the Outdoor exchange in the brisk wind. That deserved a hot cocoa at Muddy Waters before heading home. What a cool place!
