Route 7 runs north and south through Brandon while Rt 73 ( Brandon Gap ) runs east and west. We usually drive through this town but we have visited Sanderson Covered Bridge with Chuck n Sue. We stopped at Cafe Provence after David bought his car from Ray H. When we saw the menu and their prices, I told David to just order a hamburger. LOL. On one trip during Covid, Ann noticed senior pictures from Otter Creek being displayed on Rt 7. Each picture had the first name of the person with Otter Creek underneath. Ann thought each person’s middle and last name was Otter Creek. What a large family Ann said. We laughed our ass’s all the way to Proctor! The center of town is beautiful and deserves to be explored some more.

Ann n I escaped the caretaking drama of family and went Christmas tree hunting in GMNF. We skipped over Brandon Gap and spent the afternoon in Brandon. First, we shopped at Upscale Resale on the southern outskirts of town on Rt 7. We parked in front of the Brandon Inn and walked around the corner and shopped the various stores along Main St. We visited Kennedy Park where there is a nice waterfall to view. Gourmet Province is a good place to get a coffee or hot chocolate and a baked good. We chose to go across the street to the Town Park and sit under the pavilion. The Neshobe River flows through with another beuatiful waterfall. We shopped both sides of the street and enjoyed many of the stores. We ended the day by visiting the Vermont Folk Art Gallery. We met Warren Kimble who is very famous. His work is very nice but expensive$$. Great people to talk to and enjoyed talking with them very much.
