- We began our 251 quest in the town of Putney. It was hard to find a lot of information on the town. We started the day with driving around a couple of back roads, and stopped at the Green mountain orchard. Where we saw some antique cars and an antique wooden boat. We then hiked out the ridge trail from the parking area at the top of Putney Mtn Rd., great views even on a cloudy misty day. Our day concluded with a wine/ spirit tasting at Putney Wines. Our first day was so much fun, a surprisingly huge success!!
