This was a side trip. Before getting back to St Johnsbury on Route 2, we went down Route 18 and the Lower Waterford Rd which tracks along the Connecticut River. Waterford is an inflection point where Route 5 continues north instead of following the River so the towns of Waterford, Concord, and Luneberg are left without a main round running along the border until Route 102 forms in Guildhall.
Only Barnet and Lunenberg left in the NEK and in the whole eastern section of Vermont.
