We drive into Stannard on the Stannard Mountain Rd from Wheelock. There is a new appearing granite marker with “Welcome to Stannard, Vermont, Incorporated 1869” engraved on it. There is a small park across the road and a beautiful old yellow and red church with no date, which did not appear to be in use.
